You’ll need
Licensure
✓Maintains licensure and provides clinical supervision to interns and license eligible staff.
✓Active licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist
Education
✓Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.
Qualifications
✓Crisis Prevention Institute training is required within ninety (90) days of date of hire or transfer, and annually thereafter, for the Psych Unit.
✓1-2 years post-masters experience providing evaluations and psychotherapy.
✓Necessary Skills
✓Ability to use a variety of psychotherapy techniques.
✓Ability to communicate and work well in an interdisciplinary environment.
✓Responds positively and flexibly to demands and deadlines.
✓Must be detail-oriented and posses strong oral and written communication and problem solving skills.
✓bio-psychosocial and mental status evaluation techniques
✓suicide risk factors
✓psychiatric diagnosis
✓bases of human behavior
✓theory and practice of psychotherapy
✓crisis intervention techniques
✓ethical and legal responsibilities including but not limited to confidentiality and patient rights and requirements for continued licensure.
✓Age of Patients Served
