Education
✓Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in sports psychology or related area, granted from a US regionally accredited college or university. Master’s Degree in sports psychology or equivalent certifications is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mental performance coaching, preferably with emphasis on high school and college athletes preferred.
Qualifications
✓Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
✓Must be available to work weekends, holidays and conduct evening public speaking programs.
✓Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
✓Ability to perform the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, stooping and bending.
✓Must understand athletic schedules, urgency of athletic needs, and ability to understand the unique needs of athletes and athletic programs.

About the role

The Mental Performance Coach is part of the integrated Parkview Sports Medicine team working closely with the performance division and athletic trainers. Performs activities related to the mental performance of student athletes in accordance with the overall organizational goals of promoting Parkview Health.
