represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Oversees the operational and financial management, and regulatory/legal compliance for the Pharmacy Home Medical Equipment (HME) and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. Recruits, interviews, and hires staff. Provides direct supervision of staff, engages in staff training/development, and performance evaluations.

Oversees and manages budget performance for all home care pharmacy operations. Identifies areas of growth and opportunity for the area.

Oversees general operations and delivery of home medical equipment-related goods and services under the Pharmacy Home Care Services program, including respiratory care, durable medical equipment, enteral nutrition, and other associated programs as implemented. Delivers home care pharmacy HME services that are patient- and family-centered, consistent with ICARE values. Responsible for day-to-day operations of Pharmacy Home Care HME programs, including scheduling of staff and coordination of services with other Pharmacy Home Care programs.

Provides direct management, supervision, and development of staff related to the pharmacy home care HME services. Oversees employees responsible for specific areas of expertise as part of the HME program, such as intake, billing, and delivery. Promotes and rewards a culture of high quality and courteous care that is aimed at maximizing the patient experience.

Oversees recruitment and retention of staff for home care pharmacy HME programs, including interviewing, hiring, training and supervising in compliance with University and institutional policies and state and federal regulations, in collaboration with HR business partners. Recommends or approves action on hiring, terminations, promotions, salary and other related personnel matters. Oversees and manages budget performance for all home care pharmacy operations.

Identifies and explains budget variances and reports to appropriate finance staff in a timely manner and according to institutional guidelines. Works with leadership to identify areas of growth and opportunity and implement new services. Works collaboratively with the Home Infusion program and other ambulatory pharmacy programs to deliver HME-DME related services.

Participates in strategic planning and project management/implementation relative to integration or centralization of services to achieve efficiency. Engages in planning and project development relative to the growth of home care pharmacy services to meet patient needs. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and third party payer requirements to minimize risk and exposure.

Provides opportunities for the continuing education and development of professional and technical staff, including participation in professional meetings, institutes and seminars as possible, based on budget and schedule and consistent with the operational and professional needs of the department. Ensures the provision of timely and fair feedback and evaluation for all employees of the home care pharmacy programs according to University and institutional policies.

Establishes, completes, and regularly updates professional development plan, consistent with continuing professional development standard to ensure continued personal and professional growth. Ensures staff training and competencies for areas of HME management for billing, equipment management, and usage of HME equipment. Other duties as assigned.
