The Reimbursement and Net Revenue Manager will prepare and manage the timely submission of Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports for all applicable NLH entities. The Manager will be responsible for the accuracy of Net Patient Revenue and the valuing of Accounts Receivable for the System each month. The Manager will participate and oversee the preparation of the Net Revenue Budget each year and assist in forecasting each month.
The Manager will be the administrative lead of the department and continually raise the level of expertise of the team. It is essential that the Manager be able to communicate complex reimbursement principles in easily understood terms to leaders throughout Northern Light Health.
Prepare, file and defend Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports annually. Analyze and Prepare Journal Entries for Net Patient Revenue each month for the close. Prepare Net Patient Revenue for the annual Operating Budget.
Maintain and improve the Payer Contract Management System to net down Accounts Receivable and forecast Net Revenue. Work closely with the Revenue Cycle team to identify items that impact revenue. Estimate Net Revenue impacts from Regulatory, Contract and Volume changes.
Analyze different payment models to determine optimal structures for reimbursement. Maintain Disproportionate Share Hospital status. Represent the Reimbursement Department in meetings with Third Party Auditors, Financial Auditors and Internal Auditors.
