✓Ability to follow safety protocols and hospital policies
✓Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
✓Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
✓Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and emergency interventions
Prior experience as a Mental Health Technician, Patient Care Technician, or behavioral health aide preferred
Experience in an Emergency Room, psychiatric unit, or acute care setting strongly preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
About the role
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) in the Emergency Room provides direct patient care and behavioral health support to individuals presenting with psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral conditions. The MHT works under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to ensure patient safety, support therapeutic interventions, and maintain a safe and supportive environment in a fast-paced emergency setting.
