The Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for monitoring/interpretation of cardiac rhythm monitored patients and for coordinating communication activities between caregivers, departments, patients, and visitors. The MT is accountable for accurate maintenance of the patient’s paper medical record. Assists health care providers in the function of order entry and navigating the patient’s electronic healthcare record in accordance with position security level.

The MT also assists Patient Flow Coordinator/House Supervisors/Clinical Supervisor/Relief Charge Nurse in the coordination of patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities.

Ability to prioritize and multitask. *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.

• One-year acute care experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills Education/Licensure/Certification:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Telemetry trained preferred, with demonstrated competency in interpretation of EKG rhythms upon hire (required)
• Well versed in medical terminology preferred
