✓Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Qualifications
✓Previous experience as a Monitor Tech or similar role in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
✓Strong attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods while monitoring multiple patients simultaneously.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare team members.
✓Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and respond quickly to emergent situations.
✓Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
✓At least 1 year in a .6fte or greater Monitor Technician I position at MUSC or 1 year of Monitor Technician/Telemetry work experience in a health care facility and succeful completion of the EKG training/competency during the orientation period in order to remain in the Monitor Technician II
✓Thereafter, must maintain.
Familiarity with cardiac rhythms and ability to recognize common arrhythmias is highly desirable. preferred
