Education
✓A high school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
✓Measuring, interpreting, and documenting all required elements of cardiac rhythm strips and ensuring appropriate documentation is placed in the patient's chart
✓Performing clerical responsibilities associated with patient admissions, discharges, monitoring, and documentation of patient information within the Central Telemetry department
✓Maintaining accurate records and completing all required documentation related to cardiac monitoring and patient care
✓Attending hospital-wide education and competency programs and completing all required unit-based competencies
✓Successful completion of all required orientation programs
✓Successful completion of required hospital-wide education, competency programs, and unit-based competencies
✓The ability to demonstrate competency in cardiac rhythm monitoring, interpretation, documentation, and communication
✓The ability to recognize significant cardiac rhythm changes and promptly notify the appropriate RN or clinician
✓The ability to accurately document patient and monitoring information
✓The ability to work collaboratively with nursing, clinical, administrative, and support teams
