✓Registered Technologist credential through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
✓State licensure, if applicable.
Certifications
✓Advanced ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) is required.
✓Current BLS certification required.
Education
✓Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Radiologic Sciences, or related field preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 5 years of MRI clinical experience required.
✓Experience with advanced MRI procedures and MRI safety practices required.
✓Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging principles, protocols, and safety standards.
✓Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
✓Ability to effectively manage staff performance and departmental operations.
✓Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality initiatives.
✓Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
✓Ability to work independently and respond effectively during urgent and emergent situations.
✓Proficiency with RIS, PACS, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

About the role

The MRI Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff performance, and clinical activities of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department. This position provides direct supervision of MRI technologists while maintaining an active clinical role by performing MRI procedures and participating in on-call coverage as needed.
