✓Pathway 1 (ARRT Pathway): Associate degree with completion of an accredited 2 ‑ year Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program. (Required) or

✓Any of the following: Registered Technologist Radiology (ARRT-R), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T), Registered ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) OR ARRT–MR Registry-eligible. (Required Upon Hire) and

✓Must meet one of the following post-hire certification pathways.

✓Pathway 1 (ARRT Pathway): Registered Technologist MRI (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) (Required within 2 Years) And meets educational ARRT pathway requirements upon hire or

✓Pathway 2 (MRI/ARDMS/NMTCB Pathway): ARDMS or NMTCB registration (Upon Hire) AND Registered Technologist MRI (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) (Required Within 6 Months of hire or transfer) and meets education MRI/ARDMS/NMTCB pathway requirements upon hire. and

✓Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) and

Education

✓Pathway 2 (MRI/ARDMS/NMTCB Pathway): Associate degree with completion of a primary track in MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Sonography. (Required)

Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics.
Performs MRI scans as directed by radiologist, and, once orientation and training are completed, independently conducts scans if ARRT-registered.

Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including MR scanners, power injectors, and various computers. Must demonstrate effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Ability to perform procedures specific to the area. Answers phones and arranges schedule for in-patient request Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and coworkers
