MRI Technologist I - Outpatient

. 1. Processes MR I scan sequences ; verifies demographics and technical information ; checks technical quality of images . 2. Participates as a member of a specialized medical team in performing specialized MR I scans of various organs and in preparing patients for specific procedures .

R eviews pathology , surgical , and other reports to monitor patient progress and provide a means for evaluating the accuracy of MR I examinations . 3. Constantly assesses patient’s condition and administers first aid as required ; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies . 4. Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes , report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care , technical quality and clerical functions . 5.

M onitors equipment performance and reports problems to the M anager ; records malfunctions as required . Educational/Experience

• Successful completion of a one -year accredited program in MR I T echnology or A RR T MR I certification • Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements Required License /

• Current State of M aryland L icensure (preferred)
• ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)
