✓Specialized Diploma Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or
✓High School Diploma/GED with AART certification
✓BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association
✓Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of radiography tools, techniques and applications, ability to utilize imaging technology on patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
✓Knowledge of and ability to prepare patients for diagnostic/radiological imaging and to monitor patients' reactions during and after a procedure. Responds to emergent situations by applying appropriate measures.
✓May require travel between Jefferson sites

About the role

Under the supervision of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and scanners to produce detailed tissue images for medical diagnosis. Prepares pertinent information for physician and care team's review, and delivers patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures.
