Experience / QualificationsAmerican Registry Radiologic Technologists in MRI- ARRT,(R), (MR) and /or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists - ARMRITAmerican Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider2 years’ experience performing MRI/MRA preferredAdvanced training in breast MRI and vascular MPR/IVI post processing preferredProficient computer skillsExcellent communication skills both verbally and in writingPosition SummaryThe MRI Technologist performs all MRI/MRA procedures, abdominal, pelvic, head/skull, thorax, breast and extremities.

Excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and uses this knowledge to provide quality MRI images for interpretation. Demonstrated knowledge of advanced computer applications including PACS and Image manipulation for image enhancement. Demonstrated understanding of the principals involved in MRI and the ability to adjust them to each patient.

Physical RequirementsThis job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs. Threshold RequirementsThese threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basisAnnual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientationTB/PPD Surveillance ProgramMaintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
