A Day in the Life As a Travel MRI Technologist with Munson Healthcare , you’ll bring your expertise to a team committed to delivering exceptional, patient‑centered imaging services across northern Michigan. In this role, you’ll perform high‑quality MRI studies that help providers diagnose and treat patients with confidence. Here’s what your day may look like: Perform diagnostic MRI exams , including organ, system, and blood‑flow imaging.
Work independently while still feeling supported by a collaborative and compassionate imaging team. Operate state‑of‑the‑art MRI scanners and ancillary equipment to produce clear, accurate diagnostic results. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam—explaining procedures, positioning patients, and monitoring for physical or emotional distress.
Practice strict MRI safety standards , including screening, safe room setup, and contrast administration. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing teams to deliver seamless, high‑quality care. Mentor and orient students, residents, or new technologists as needed.
