Multi-Modality Specialist - Fort Wayne, IN Schedule Monday through Friday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) Position Overview This is a third-shift, hospital-based imaging position supporting multiple advanced imaging modalities. The selected candidate will provide coverage for: CT MRI This role offers the opportunity to work across both specialties while supporting overnight imaging needs for emergency, inpatient, and hospital-based care.
Preferred Experience Candidates with the following experience are preferred: Prior CT experience Prior MRI experience Hospital-based imaging experience Experience working independently in an overnight environment Call Requirements Only one call rotation despite dual-modality responsibilities Rotating holiday coverage required This position will rotate in the MRI call rotation. Additional Information Please note that this is a new facility, and schedules may evolve as operational needs become clearer following the hospital's opening.
The schedule listed above reflects the anticipated hours at launch. Planned start dates for these positions are March 2027 . Team members will complete orientation and training prior to the facility opening on May 1, 2027 .
Training may include rotations through: Ball Memorial Hospital Existing Fort Wayne outpatient locations The new Fort Wayne hospital department prior to opening These rotations are designed to provide exposure to a wide variety of procedures and patient populations that may not currently be available in local Fort Wayne outpatient settings. Most positions will participate in a rotating holiday schedule. Incentives Sign-on bonuses are available for qualified candidates.
Job Duties, Tasks and
Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in multiple modalities for radiological diagnosis. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly to ensure diagnostic images.
Must include work in at least one advanced modality and be actively working in two or more advanced modalities. Responsible for meeting job requirements of applicable modalities. Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning. Requires active status through the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT), the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers {ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), as required per specific modality.
Must have advance imaging credentials as required per specific modalities. Advanced credential does not include general radiography, ARRT(R). Requires technologist to work in two or more advanced modalities; does not include general radiography.
Requires license from Indiana State Department of Health, as required per specific modality. #LI-Onsite
