JOB SUMMARY T he Music Therapist is responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based music therapy interventions that address the psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical needs of patients and families. This role develops and manages individualized treatment plans, maintains accurate clinical documentation, collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, contributes to program development and growth initiatives, and educates staff on the therapeutic benefits of music therapy while upholding departmental standards and professional practice requirements. Primarily serving adult patients in palliative and end-of-life contexts. SCHEDULE 7:30
- 4 PM, Monday
- Friday, no weekend, holiday, or travel requirements. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Experience <1 year Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience. Licenses and Certifications Music Therapist Board Certification Upon Hire and (CPRAED) CPR AED Preferred Education Master's Degree in Music Therapy Experience 2 years to three (3) years of job related experience. JOB DUTIES Responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing evidence-based music therapy interventions and protocols based on best practices and patient/family needs, to include, but not limited to: psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns. Create and manage patient treatment plans, maintain patient documentation, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the health care team. Collaborate on program planning and growth. Maintain all departmental standards and continuing responsibilities. Educate staff across numerous disciplines about the benefits of music therapy with regard to psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns.
