Job Summary and Qualifications The Neurodiagnostic Specialist is an advanced level position in the epilepsy monitoring unit and/or intensive care unit able to perform all neurodiagnostic procedures (EEG, LTM-ICU and EMU, EP) and may also perform additional responsibilities including, but not limited to WADA, PET, and Ictal SPECT. The technologist must be able to provide findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures.
Technologist may perform tasks with supervision until competencies are met and then demonstrate competencies yearly. Tech is required to rotate on-call with the neurodiagnostic team. What qualifications you will need: 2+ years of experience required Well-developed computer skills with experience in windows and office suite.
Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) Program, or an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired. Credential in electroencephalograpy (R. EEG T.) required.
Credential in long-term monitoring (CLTM) or must be board eligible. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider Medical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care. We are an 895+ bed tertiary care center.
