You’ll need
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
✓Must achieve a National Registry certification in at least one of the neurodiagnostic procedures relative to the needs of the department within 2 years of hire.
✓Registry certification in one or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc.).
✓Within two years of employment, specific certification through ABRET – Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (CLTM) is required in the laboratory of hire.
✓The Registry Examination should be attempted as soon as the employee is eligible.
✓Associate’s degree from an accredited school of EEG/NCS/EP Technology and a National Registry certification in two or more of the following: EEG, NCS, EP, Autonomic, Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM), or Long-Term Monitoring (CLTM).
✓Certification in two or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG, CNCT from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc.).
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology.
Qualifications
✓Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
✓One or more years in electroneurodiagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
✓Two or more years in electroneurodiagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
✓Two or more years performing one or more electroneurodiagnostic procedures in EEG/NCS/EP/IOM/LTM/Autonomic.

About the role
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist works in the neurodiagnostic laboratories, performing one or more of the following procedures: Evoked Potentials (EP), Autonomic Reflex Screen (ARS), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Neuromuscular Ultrasound, and Tremor Studies.
