Certifications
✓Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Certificate within 6 months of hire OR American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring Certification
✓Basic Life Support
Education
✓Bachelors of Science Degree.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Neurophysiological Monitoring Specialist.
✓Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
✓Must have adequate training and knowledge of IOM modalities including evoked potentials (somatosensory, motor, and brainstem) as well as free-running and triggered EMG for cranial and spinal nerve identification and monitoring.
✓Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
✓Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.

About the role

Provides patient neurophysiological monitoring support to surgeons, in accordance with the purpose, philosophy and objectives of the services. This is a key role of the Neurophysiological Monitoring Specialist who is involved in the medical centers surgical or invasive procedures requiring neuro monitoring.
