We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Neurosurgical team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in all aspects of Neurosurgery including inpatient, outpatient, and in the operating room, and will work collaboratively with our current team of 2 Neurosurgeons and 2 Advanced Practice Providers as well as other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key
Conduct comprehensive Neurosurgical assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies. Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative visits Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians Provide patient education on conservative management, operative planning, and pre- and post-operative instructions Assist with hospital rounding, new consults, and discharge planning (if applicable) Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards. First assist in the Operating Room for Neurosurgical patients Assist with call coverage.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant. Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida. Preferred
2+ years of Neurosurgical experience, including first assist in the operating room. Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record a plus Compensation and
