As our stroke specialty unit, we provide neurology and medical-surgical care for patients with a wide range of neuroscience diagnoses, including stroke/TIA, seizures, brain and spine disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. You will work closely with our stroke coordinator and have opportunities for additional learning, strengthening the assessment and critical-thinking skills that help you recognize subtle changes and influence patient outcomes. As an RN resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. • Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotating shifts from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
