Qualifications
✓This program is offered those with no previous RN experience.
✓Knowledge of techniques, methods and competencies of clinical nursing practices. Knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
✓Knowledge of standards, policies and procedures of Denver Health as they pertain to nursing.
✓Skill to properly use medical instruments and laboratory equipment.
✓Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
✓Ability to apply nursing principles, practices and techniques.
✓Ability to assess patients’ needs and coordinate proper nursing care. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
✓Microsoft Office Suite required.
Ability to use computers and computer systems. Bilingual skills preferred.

About the role

ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition (3M) is the world’s only Center of Excellence for the treatment of patients with extreme medical complications resulting from eating disorders and severe malnutrition. Nurses in the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders play a vital role on the multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive and collaborative care to this patient population.

What you’ll do
Learn and execute allLearn and execute all job functions as performed by a fully credentialled RN (50%)
Monitor, record and reportMonitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s condition and vital signs (5%)
Develop and modify patientDevelop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions (5%)
