Responsibilities Under general supervision, medical consultation, and direction as outlined in an approved Georgia Nurse Protocol Agreement, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced nursing and medical care to critically ill cardiac patients in the intensive care setting. The NP performs comprehensive assessments; establishes medical diagnoses; orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests; initiates and manages therapeutic interventions; and coordinates care in collaboration with the cardiovascular critical care team.
Practice is conducted in accordance with Georgia Board of Nursing regulations, institutional policies, and the NP’s education, training, certification, and granted clinical privileges. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED 1. Master’s degree in Nursing.2.
Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the GeorgiaBoard of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American NursesCredentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body.
