Leads Operating Room services to ensure efficient unit operations and optimal patient outcomes Delivery safe, high-quality, and cost-effective preoperative care Serves as clinical leader, liaison, and resource for assigned surgical specialty/unit Ensures compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and Joint Commission standards Identifies and implements cost-effective strategies without compromising patient safety Promotes innovation and continuous improvement in preoperative nursing practices Coaches and mentors staff, supporting clinical decision-making and professional development Utilizes AORN tools and best practices to drive high-quality surgical care delivery Collaborates on emergency preparedness, training, and unit-specific drills OR Service Leader Minimum
Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Required 2 year of experience as a Registered Nurse Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | CNOR or equivalent specialty certification within 12 mos of hire Required
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license OR Services Leader
Three years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) inpatient experience on a Labor and Delivery Unit. BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
