✓Certified Candidates – Meet and maintain the minimum requirements for JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA).

✓High school diploma or GED is required.
Qualifications
✓Demonstrated working knowledge of basic medical anatomy, eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications.
✓Understands and adheres to proper sterile techniques.
✓Knowledge of standard medical abbreviations.
✓Preferred experience in a clinical setting. 1-3 years of Ophthalmology experience preferred.
✓This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
