Licensure
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - or another professional medical licensure - Preferred Upon Hire
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Upon Hire
✓Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Registry obtained within 6 months post graduation from a diagnostic medical sonographer program. - Required Upon Hire
✓Inputting data, calibrating equipment, answering telephone, speaking clearly, manipulating small items, fine motor skills, knowledge of body mechanics and CPR.
Qualifications
✓Satisfactory completion or in process of completing an approved Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program which includes general ultrasound and vascular as well as OB. - Required
✓Essential Technical/Motor Skills
✓Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
✓Interpersonal Skills
✓Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, physicians, etc.
✓Must work well as a team member.
✓Visual skills, hear, distinguish color.
✓Radiation, body fluids, needle sticks, hazardous materials.
✓Caregiver must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age group(s): Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal.
About the role
The Ultrasound Tech (non-reg) works under the supervision of the Director, Associate Director, Radiology Manager, and Lead Technologist in Radiology to provide the technical knowledge and expertise to safely and accurately perform ultrasound scans, vascular lab procedures and other related procedures as requested.
