You’ll need
Licensure
✓Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
✓NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
✓Advance Practice Nurse License.
✓Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
✓Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant License.
Certifications
✓APN must have PMHNP certification, PA must have psych training.
✓BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
✓Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
✓AHA Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Education
✓Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
✓Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
✓Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
Qualifications
✓Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
✓Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
✓National Provider Identifier (NPI).
✓Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✓Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
