Licensure
✓Current and valid license from the Department of Health to practice in the State of Rhode Island.
Certifications
✓Registry by at least one of the following bodies:
✓American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Nuclear Medicine.
✓Nuclear Medicine Technologists’ Certification Board.
Education
✓Completion of accredited training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
Qualifications
✓The interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with patients in order to allay their fears and anxieties, departmental staff, physicians and others.
✓The analytical ability to calculate and prepare readiopharmaceutical isotopes according to the standard procedure required by the test given.
✓The ability to operate all modern Nuclear Medicine equipment within the department.
✓Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
✓One to three months progressively more responsible job related experience is required.
