We are hiring for a full-time Nuclear Med Tech. The schedule for this role will be Monday thru Friday - day shift, with rotating on call. Performs Nuclear Medicine Procedures by preparing, administering and measuring radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic and othertracer studies using a variety of radioisotopes and equipment.
Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceutical received, used and disposed, using computer and following physicians' prescription. Detect and map radiopharmaceutical in patient's bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images for physician interpretation. Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment.
Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment. Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures and regulatory guidelines. Prepare radiopharmaceutical, adhering to safety standards that minimize radiation exposure to workers and patients.
Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during test procedure. OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Credentials: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Required) ARRT or NMTCB (Required) ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification within 6 months of hire. Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required) BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Education or Equivalent
Education Specialization: Graduate of a CHEA, AMA, and/or JRCNMT Nuclear Medicine program, or equivalent. Equivalent
