You’ll need
Certifications
✓CPR Certification required.
✓Must have certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) from the NMTCB.
Education
✓Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay updated with advancements in the field
✓The Coordinator of Nuclear Medicine is a college graduate or equivalent with satisfactory completion of a formal Nuclear School of Medicine or equivalent.
Qualifications

✓Understand technical information from supervisors, charts, reference books, manuals and labels.
✓Use eyes, hands and fingers with skill.

✓Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
✓Operate advanced nuclear medicine imaging equipment
✓Monitor patients during procedures for any adverse reactions
✓Maintain detailed records of procedures and radiopharmaceutical usage
✓Assist physicians in interpreting nuclear medicine images
✓Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to radiation exposure
✓Educate patients on the procedures and answer any questions they may have
✓Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment
✓Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
✓Prepare reports summarizing imaging findings
✓Provide emergency care if a patient experiences a reaction to radiopharmaceuticals
