When you join us as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:Performs high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care. Assures proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient. Starts intravenous lines or performs straight stick venipuncture for isotope injection.

Administers radionuclide in a safe and effective manner. Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitors patients’ well- being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.

Maintains a nuclear medicine information system for all patient dosing, calibration, receiving and disposition, and all regulatory reports required by the RAM license. Under the direction of the radiologist, administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes. Demonstrates a high level of competency and ensures team members are safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.

Responsible for safeguarding on-site medications following Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements and ensures employee adherence to on-site medication policies Demonstrates and ensures team members a high level of respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals. Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

Demonstrates high-level respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions, including team members' interactions with one another. Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting, and ensures team members adherence to the same expectation. Demonstrates and exhibits the behavior that fosters an environment that is nurturing and ensures cooperative and collaborative working relationships.
