Licensure
✓Current and active State of Florida License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist .
Certifications
✓Current national certification/registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology through one of the following:
✓Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
✓American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Nuclear Medicine Technology, R.T.(N) .
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or other hospital-approved provider.
✓Must maintain all licenses, registrations, and certifications required for the position throughout employment.
✓ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, R.T.(CT) .
✓NMTCB PET certification or other recognized PET credential.
✓Formal PET/CT training and documented equipment-specific competency.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
✓Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Sciences, or a related healthcare field preferred.
Qualifications
✓ACLS certification when applicable to assigned procedures and patient population.
✓New graduates who meet all required licensure and certification requirements may be considered based on departmental needs.
✓Nuclear medicine imaging principles and procedures.
✓Nuclear medicine physics and instrumentation.
✓Radiopharmaceutical preparation, handling, administration, and disposal.
✓Radiation biology and radiation protection principles.
✓Gamma camera and SPECT imaging.
✓Image acquisition, processing, reconstruction, and quality assessment.
✓Nuclear cardiology procedures.
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred .
Previous acute-care hospital experience preferred.
Experience with general nuclear medicine procedures, nuclear cardiology, SPECT, and SPECT/CT preferred.
PET/CT experience preferred if applicable to departmental operations.
