About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.
Scope of work The NMT performs both imaging and non-imaging procedures on patients and/or patient samples using radioactive tracers. The NMT is responsible for the safe and correct handling of radioactive materials, the care and operation of radiation detection equipment, knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, the appropriate computer analysis to generate a patient result, and patient care. A NMT uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
