Nurse Aide I & Clinical Secretary - Neonatal Intensive Care

We are hiring a Nurse Aide I/Clinical Secretary to support both patient care and administrative operations within our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In this role, you will work closely with nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals to help provide high-quality, family-centered care for premature and critically ill infants in a specialized clinical environment.

Provide clerical and administrative support to patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support efficient unit operations. Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while following WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care model. Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and team members to support a positive care experience.

Assist with monitoring, documenting, and coordinating routine patient care activities as directed. Help maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment for infants and their families in the NICU. Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Effective communicator who works well with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Able to support both clinical patient care responsibilities and administrative duties.
