✓A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
Certifications
✓Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
✓Holds a valid and current certification as a Nurse Educator.
Education
✓A Master’s Degree in Nursing, or a related nursing or education field, from an accredited college or university
Qualifications
✓Three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse in specialty area(s), including:
✓One (1) year providing nursing education and training in specialty area(s)
✓For Assignment to Nurse Educator Level II
✓In addition to meeting the qualification requirements of Nurse Educator Level I, must be assigned to a highly specialized area (e.g., critical care, emergency services, perioperative care) or to a group of specialty areas.
Minimum of 3–5 years of recent clinical experience in high-acuity specialty areas, specifically the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Critical Care Services. preferred
