Provide comprehensive inpatient care in collaboration with the Hospital Medicine teamComplete patient evaluations, histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessmentsManage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiencyDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plansOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, laboratory testing, and medications within the scope of practiceRespond to changes in patients’ clinical conditions and coordinate escalation of care when appropriateCollaborate with physicians, specialists, nursing, pharmacy, care management, rehabilitation services, and other members of the interdisciplinary teamEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructionsSupport transitions of care and communication with outpatient providersMaintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and hospital-based initiativesContribute to the continued growth and development of Hospital Medicine servicesDemonstrate a strong commitment to Novant Health’s standards for patient-centered care What We're Looking ForExperience and Skills Strong interest in hospital medicine and inpatient clinical careAbility to manage medically complex adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environmentStrong clinical judgment, assessment, and decision-making skillsEffective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skillsAbility to prioritize multiple patient-care responsibilitiesCommitment to high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered careInterest in supporting program growth and clinical improvement initiativesPrevious hospitalist, internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, or other inpatient experience preferredQualifications Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent national certification as a Nurse PractitionerCurrent or eligible South Carolina Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenseCertification appropriate for the patient population and inpatient scope of practiceCurrent BLS certificationACLS certification required or obtained within the designated onboarding periodPrescriptive authority and DEA registration as required for the positionAbility to meet Novant Health credentialing and medical staff requirements Why Choose Novant Health?
