Licensure
✓Nurse Practitioners: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina and approval to practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
✓Physician Assistants: Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina.
Certifications
✓National certification as an Acute Care NP or certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), as applicable.
✓BLS and ACLS certification required.
Education
✓Nurse Practitioners: Work requires completion of an accredited graduate-level Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
✓Physician Assistants: Work requires graduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessor agencies.
Qualifications
At least one year of experience as an Acute Care NP or PA in cardiology/electrophysiology is strongly preferred; new graduates will be considered.
