✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Nurse Practitioners Certification (NP-C) OR Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), Basic Life Support (BLS), Department Specific Certifications may be required
Education
✓Master's Degree in Nursing OR Physician Assisting (Required)
✓Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
Qualifications
✓Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
✓Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
✓Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
✓Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
1+ years of prior APP experience (Strongly preferred)
Emergency Center experience (Preferred)
4+ years experience in supervision and independent decision making in major nursing areas (Preferred)
