Licensure
✓Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Certifications
✓Specialty certification required.
✓Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Education
✓Baccalaureate in nursing, or equivalent.
✓At least a Master of Science Degree in the field of nursing.
✓Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
✓Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges in the State of Rhode Island.OR Bachelor’s Degree and two years of graduate study in an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Qualifications
✓Current registration as Physician Assistant in the State of Rhode Island.
✓Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
Two years related experience as RN in acute care hospital setting and preferred 1-2 years experience as a nurse practitioner or 1-2 years experience as a Physician Assistant. Experience in cardiology preferred. Experience with EPIC a plus.

About the role

Oversee care coordination inOversee care coordination in the acute care setting, including identifying the need for admission via triage from the Emergency Department, inpatient care, and discharge planning
Partner with the healthcarePartner with the healthcare team to achieve mutually agreed upon healthcare goals by providing necessary support, education and encouragement
Position may include rotationPosition may include rotation to the Cardiology Procedural Care Unit and/or Advanced Heart Failure service
Annually completes mandatory safetyAnnually completes mandatory safety infection control, BLS, and ACLS
