Nurse Staff - Baylor, Operating Room

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Incorporates the principles of statistical analysis, scientific theory, developmental and decision-making skills for better patient outcomes.

An operating room nurse is responsible for planning, execution, conducting and evaluating both direct and indirect nursing care provided to a surgical patient. Functions in the role of charge/lead nurse and coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
