- Various Available PURPOSE The role of the nurse tech is that of the PCA but expanded to include critical thinking, delegation, communication, and relationships with the health care team The role of the nurse is that of a mentor. The nurse will seek out the nurse tech when doing treatments or any procedure that would benefit the nurse tech to observe. Serves as a resource for the nurse tech to answer questions The role of the OD department is to provide the classroom orientation The role of the unit manager is to interview, manage, monitor, schedule QUALIFICATIONS BSN Program-Must have completed the physical assessment course ADN and Diploma- Must have completed the physical assessment course Complete interview process with unit director Letter from school verifying the Physical Assessment course has been successfully completed BENEFITS
