You’ll need
Certifications
✓Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) training program (may include being listed on the MN Registry)
✓A current Basic Life Support CPR certification from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
✓Current CPR certification (American Heart BLS for Healthcare Providers) required. (Demonstrates at the time of employment and every 2 years thereafter).
Nursing assistant certification preferred
Education
High school degree of equivalent preferred
Qualifications
✓Experience in an acute care or long-term care setting as a Nursing Assistant and/or Emergency Room Technician(6 months at a minimum of 0.5 FTE)
✓Completion of one clinical rotation in a RN or LPN program within the past 12 months
✓Experience or nursing assistant education must have occurred within the last five (5) years.
✓Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
✓Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
✓Demonstrates basic computers skills.
✓Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
✓Ability to independently initiate appropriate tasks within the scope of practice of the position.
✓Ability to provide an exceptional patient experience utilizing strong customer service skills.
✓Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
Ability to provide individualized care and respond to a variety of patient/ family preferences. preferred
Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
Proficiency using Electronic Health Record (EPIC) preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
