As a Nursing Assistant on our Med Surg Acute unit, you'll be an important part of the patient care team. Under the direction of nursing leadership and Registered Nurses, you'll provide hands-on support to patients while helping the unit run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care Take and document vital signs Participate in hourly rounding Respond promptly to patient call lights Assist with meals, tray setup, feeding, and nutritional needs Help patients with repositioning, ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises Assist with physical and occupational therapy activities as directed Maintain patient comfort, safety, and cleanliness Observe patients and promptly report changes in their physical or emotional condition to the nursing team Accurately document patient care Respect patient rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality Communicate professionally with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient care What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of customer service experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Professional and courteous approach when working with patients, families, and staff Basic computer literacy Ability and willingness to float to other hospital units based on health system needs Previous hospital or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.
