✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Certification and ANPD or clinical specialty preferred.
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Nursing Professional Development Specialist
✓Minimum of three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting required.
✓Demonstrated ability to plan development activities that impact positive outcomes and performance.
✓Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
✓Demonstrated ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
✓Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach required.
✓Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual, and group behaviors, teaching and learning principles, and research outcomes required.
✓Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities required.
Based on position, one or more of the following courses including STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care or other specialty training courses is preferred
