Nursing Student (LPN)

A Student Nurse Intern may only practice professional nursing under the supervision of a licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse. “Supervision” is defined as the physical presence in the practice area or unit where the intern is providing patient care. The intern is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process and that is within the scope of practice as determined by the state board of nursing and organizational policies and procedures.
