Licensure

Certifications
✓For certifications that require a specified number of cases or hours worked within the specialty, the certification must be applied for once the case/time requirement has been met, and the certification must be obtained within one year of the requirement having been met (e.g. oncology, chemotherapy
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
✓BSN or higher degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education: Master of Science Degree in Nursing or related field.
Qualifications
✓Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.
✓Necessary Skills: Demonstrated leadership and management ability.
✓Demonstrated critical thinking skills and independent decision making.
✓Knowledge of JCAHO / AHCA standards and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
✓Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
✓Possesses a working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
✓Demonstrates competent conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
✓1-2 years - Management or demonstrated leadership experience -AND- 3-5 years - Medical Surgical clinical experience.
