Job OverviewFairview is seeking a Nutrition Services Associate for West Bank Hospital in Minneapolis, MN! This is a casual position offering a flexible schedule where you pick up shifts as needed. Minimum requirement is at least 3 shifts a month.
The Nutrition Services Associate (NSA) serves as a liaison between the diet office, kitchen managers, and clinicians to enhance communication and improve patient satisfaction. The NSA supports patient's nutrition needs through fulfilling enteral nutrition and oral nutrition supplement orders, assisting patients with menu needs, answering questions about therapeutic diets, navigating the nutrition software, and other diet office duties.
Schedule Casual hours - could be daytime or evening (between the hours of 6am and 730pm). Every other weekend. ResponsibilitiesAccurately fulfills enteral nutrition and oral nutrition supplement orders and delivers to unitsAssists patients requiring additional support to order food and beverage items in alignment with the diet orderAdjusts menu requests to align with therapeutic diet guidelines and food allergies using the nutrition softwareSupports patient and family members by gathering food preferences, answering questions about therapeutic diets, addressing service concerns and/or triaging to appropriate team members or managers as neededGathers data about calories and macronutrients consumed by patient if requested by clinical teamDemonstrates proficiency in knowledge of menu items, nutrition formulas and supplements, therapeutic diets, and use of the nutrition softwareCommunicates clinical concerns to the dietitians or other clinical team membersUnloads pallets of nutrition formulas and stocks nutrition formulary room supplies as neededIdentifies areas for process improvement to improve efficiency and accuracy of nutrition services and participates in process improvement as requestedRequired Qualifications1 year of customer service experiencePreferred QualificationsEnrolled in or completed health-related 2-year or 4-year degree program1 year of health-related patient services experienceRegistered Dietetic Technician Benefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
