Benefits Eligible Part-Time Benefit Eligible Work Shift Variable - 8 Hour or less Shift Department 8340 Food & Nutrition Svcs-KHMC Supports the Clinical Nutrition Department in meeting goals and providing excellent patient care. By assisting in completion of job assignments that can be done without an advanced credential (Registered Dietitian), this role supports the dietitians and helps operations run smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS License /Certification Required: ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within six months of hire/transfer. Preferred: CDM-CFPP, DTR or NDTR Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics or related field, or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics if undergraduate degree is not nutrition specific. Experience Required: At least two years of experience in nutrition or dietetic services, or dietetic internship experience.

Experience with electronic medical record. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Office Suite Products.

Essential Assists Clinical Nutrition Manager with recipe development, nutrient analysis, and validation for patient recipes and menus. Performs quality assurance functions: patient rounding, test trays, and other QAPI projects as assigned. Under the direction of a registered dietitian, provides patient education as determined by the RD.

Manages and reviews the nutrition organizer, daily triage tracking, and other Cerner reports; assigns RD consults when appropriate and not automatically assigned by Cerner. Teaches, develops, and updates department in-service education. Additional Assists with department leadership coverage as needed.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Performs other duties as assigned.
