Responsibilities TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS. Provides evaluation and treatment of patients referred by medical staff; provides clinical expertise to the multidisciplinary therapy staff, and serves as a resource for the occupational therapy staff for clinical guidance, practice and ethics. In the Activities Therapist role provides for an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient. Provide supervision for OT/COTA student education programs Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy Licensed by the State of Texas required. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. Must be able to commute between facilities in a timely manner. Strong knowledge of advanced therapy skills and competencies. Demonstrates a caring, friendly & professional attitude & the ability to encourage & support others. Must be able to communicate & work effectively with people of differing educational & cultural backgrounds. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal relationship skills. Basic computer skills.
