✓OT-Occupational Therapist - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
Certifications
✓BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree or above in accredited Occupational Therapy Program National Registration required
Qualifications
✓1-3 years experience in an occupational therapy/rehab setting.
✓Knowledge of theory, principles and practice of occupational therapy.
✓Knowledge of safety principles in patient care environment.
✓Knowledge of standards, policies and procedures of Denver Health as they pertain to occupational therapy.
✓Ability to integrate requirements of the facility and/or regulatory agencies into clinical decisions and documentation.
✓Ability to demonstrate competency for occupational therapy treatment methods, techniques and approaches per professional and agency standards. Ability to meet physical requirements of job classification (lift, pull/push, carry, transfer patients, etc...).
✓Ability to abide by the ethical guidelines as outlined by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
✓Ability to successfully modify communication style and approach according to the situation in order to promote positive results.
